The short version
This is a small personal website. I collect the information you choose to send me through the contact form, and basic anonymous statistics about how people find and use the site. I do not sell anything, share anything with advertisers, or send marketing emails.
What I collect
When you use the contact form. Your name, your email address, the subject you select, and the message you write. That is all. There is no hidden field collecting anything else.
When you browse the site. Standard, anonymized website analytics through Google Analytics: which pages were viewed, roughly how long, what type of device, and the general region a visit came from. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Why I collect it
Contact form information exists so I can read your message and write back. That is its only purpose.
Analytics tell me which pages people find useful and where the site is confusing. I use it to make the site better, nothing more.
Where it goes and how long it stays
Contact form submissions are emailed to me and stored in this website’s database as a backup, in case an email fails to arrive. I keep inquiries for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Old inquiries with no ongoing relationship are deleted periodically.
Analytics data is held by Google under their standard retention settings.
I do not sell your information. I do not share it with advertisers. I do not add you to a mailing list.
Working with young people
If you are a teen reaching out about mentorship, the same rules apply here as everywhere else in my practice: what you tell me is treated with care.
If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian involved before you send personal information through this form. If a parent contacts me about their teen, I do not publish, share, or discuss anything about that young person with anyone outside the family, other than the safety exceptions described on the Teen Mentorship page.
Mentorship clients sign a separate privacy agreement before we begin. That agreement, not this page, governs what happens inside our sessions.
Cookies
This site uses only what WordPress and Google Analytics set by default. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party marketing tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to:
- Tell you what information I hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information entirely
Write to me through the contact page and I will take care of it. There is no process to navigate; it is just me.
Other services this site uses
- Google Analytics for anonymized site statistics
- Cloudflare for site security and performance
- The hosting provider that runs this website’s server
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data passing through their systems.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Meaningful changes will be described here rather than quietly edited in.
Questions
Ask me anything about this through the contact page. I would rather answer a question than have you wonder.
